Get a Scooter
If renting a bout is a bit out of your budget, then the next best thing would be The island itself is relatively small and easy to explore. The roads tiny and not wide enough for a single car to pass . In the same time, there are really no pedestrian walks, so scooters are everywhere, easy to rent and could take you anywhere on the island.
The Other Side of Mykonos
Mykonos is really a gay destination, so do not be alarmed if you see naked men walking on the beach holding hands. There are no specific nude beaches, neither there are gay clubs – the entire island is a clothes-free prejudice-free zone.
Book Your Beach In Advance
Like anywhere else in high season, top beaches here are fully booked and packed with waiting lists that could make you wait for a single chaise longue all day long. To avoid all the drama, best to call in advance and book your table or chaise longues. Make sure also to get to the beach earlish as if you are late your booking might be taken by someone from the long queue.
P.S. For the last few seasons, Nammos has been one of the trendiest beaches. Both the restaurant and the beach require a booking – take it from bad experience!
The Party Scene
The old town is where the nighlife happens. If you plan to be partying, then book a hotel/ Air Bnb around there (best outside the epicenter of this all-night Greek disco). In order to see the beauty and shiny white streets of this famous destination, go in the morning when everyone is still asleep and the calm and peaceful atmosphere (a stark difference from the one at night) takes you down the tiny alleyways filled with handmade accessories and the aroma of fresh-made strong Greek coffee.
